The full moon rising over Makira Natural Park just outside of our wild silk communities in Madagascar is a magical sight to behold.  This wall hanging brings that stunning beauty into your home.

This wall hanging is hand-crafted from Ceranchia wild silk, which is a species of silk only found in Madagascar. The silk cocoons are sustainably harvested, ironed flat, and sewn together. They are then naturally dyed with local plants from our artisans' dye plant garden.

Comes with a bamboo pole for easy hanging.

  • Dimensions: 18"x18"
  • Handmade from start to finish in Madagascar
  • Slight variations in size and color due to the handcrafted process
  • Eco-friendly, Wild Life Friendly, and Fair Trade Certified

These art pieces were sustainably sourced and made in Madagascar by SEPALIM, a poverty alleviation NGO in northeastern Madagascar that invests in local leadership, community ownership and linking these partners to global markets. 100% of the profits from Tanana Silk are returned to our team in Madagascar.

Care instructions:  Steam iron on low setting, if desired.

Beautiful piece of art

I purchased the Chameleon for my grandson's bedroom. It is beautiful! The colors are vibrant and it is perfect! I love the story behind the silk, its origin, the people who created it and the animal it represents. It is going to inspire great conversation as he gets older.

Exquisite piece of Art

I bought this as a gift, but as each day that passes, I'm growing so attached, thinking of keeping it for myself, and placing another order! I'm bad!

Ideal Zoom backdrop

Seeing this behind me while on camera is calming. There's something biophilic in seeing the textures of the individual cocoons, and I love the colors.
