The full moon rising over Makira Natural Park just outside of our artisan community in Madagascar is a magical sight to behold.  It inspired this wall hanging which brings that stunning natural beauty into your home.

This piece is hand-crafted from Ceranchia wild silk, which is a species of silk only found in Madagascar. The silk cocoons are sustainably harvested, ironed flat, and sewn together. Then it is naturally dyed with plant material grown in our artisans' garden.  This piece is dyed with a local plant called Foleramena, which gives a beautiful sage grey color.  The gold moon is the natural undyed color of the wild silk.

Comes with a bamboo pole for easy hanging.

  • Dimensions: 18"x18"

Beautiful in person

This looks prettier in person. The perfect size for framing. I would consider it more in the red spectrum than pink.
Highly recommend

Beautiful piece of art

I purchased the Chameleon for my grandson's bedroom. It is beautiful! The colors are vibrant and it is perfect! I love the story behind the silk, its origin, the people who created it and the animal it represents. It is going to inspire great conversation as he gets older.

Exquisite piece of Art

I bought this as a gift, but as each day that passes, I'm growing so attached, thinking of keeping it for myself, and placing another order! I'm bad!
