In honor of International Women's Day just around the corner, we highlight our founder and director, Cay Craig. Cay is the brains behind the Ta'na'na Silk project and has worked tirelessly for the sake of conservation and poverty alleviation in northeastern Madagascar. Learn more about her and her work here!
International Women's Day (March 8) is cause for widespread celebration across Madagascar. SEPALI women's groups join in the fun with big parades, dancing, and eating lots of good food made for them by their husbands!
Part of our work with local communities focuses on establishing livelihood and leadership opportunities specifically for women. Our women's groups in each community choose their own leadership, delegate responsibilities among themselves and function as a highly effective team.
