Circular wall hangings with a 16" diameter. Artisan-made from Bombyx cocoon silk in Madagascar. Hand-sewn and hand-dyed, the beauty of each piece is in its intricacy and imperfections. Please excuse the poor image quality of some of the circles!
This piece features the Bombyx cocoon species from Madagascar and these circles are available in many different color combinations. All of the cocoons are sustainably harvested. Learn more about each species of wild-gathered silk cocoons. The cocoons are stitched together with a clear filament that disappears in the texture of the circle.
These Bombyx Cocoons Circles make great placemats. Sew them together to make a custom sized runner or hang them as art on your wall. Feature all one color or coordinating colors. Use them as mats anywhere you wish to add a textured, organic pop of color.
If you would like to purchase multiple circles that coordinate or work with your specific décor send an email with your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Every effort to accommodate will be made.
Thee Circles were sustainably sourced and made in Madagascar by CPALI, a conservation and poverty alleviation NGO in northeastern Madagascar that invests in local leadership, community ownership and links these partners to global markets. 100% of the profits from Ta’na’na Silk are returned to Madagascar.
Care: Hand-wash only, warm or cold water. Iron with steam iron on low-heat setting and place a pressing guard sheet over the silk to protect it while you iron.
